The plane touches down, taxiing down the runway and coming to a stop at the terminal. The seatbelt light clicks off, and the pilot says something in English. She knew enough to understand "disembarking", and that was good enough for her. The plane ride had taken what seemed like forever, and she'd spent a good portion of it in the bathroom with an airsick bag. She was glad to be off of that monstrosity. She walked out into the terminal, looking around. Sure enough, signs for baggage claim pointed her to a carousel where she could pick up her things. A duffel bag and two rolling suitcases later, she headed for the exit. Another Japanese citizen had been on her flight, and she saw him as he waited on the curb.
"(How do I get a ride somewhere? I have money to pay.)"
The elderly man smiles, and waves down a cab.
"(Why don't you take this one? I'll wait for the next.)"
She bows to him, and he smiles. She throws her bags in the backseat, and climbs inside. The driver asks where she wants to go.
"Cornerstone Wrestling Academy. This is the address."
She hands the man a slip of paper, and he nods, putting the automobile into drive, and begins to leave the airport. She looks out the window. Snow covered the ground. Tall buildings dotted the landscape. She was homesick for Japan, but she knew she had to do this. She had to learn how to wrestle properly, and this was supposedly the best place for a rookie to learn.
"(You will pay for embarrassing me Super Tiger. Mark my words.)"
The cab driver looks at her in the rearview mirror, shaking his head as the Japanese girl with way to much eye makeup muttered to herself in her native language. The drive was quiet after that, and before long, they pulled up. He let her know they were there. She handed him the money she owed, plus a gratuity tip. She grabbed her bags, and climbed out, looking up at the building.
"Be prepared CWI... Tsuji Aya has arrived."
